Vacant Board Positions


We are currently in search of volunteers to fill the following position(s)

  • Note some of these positions may show as currently filled but the volunteers are looking to step down in the near future.

VICE PRESIDENT

DUTIES OF THE VICE PRESIDENT

  • Director of SMLA
  • Assume the role of President if the President shall resign or not be able to carry on for any reason.
  • Oversee and support the performance of all Board members.
  • Act in the capacity of mediator or troubleshoot potential issues with teams, parents and coaches.

SECRETARY

DUTIES OF THE SECRETARY

  • Director of SMLA
  • Record and ensure the accuracy of the minutes of all meetings
  • Send out issuance of notices of meetings of the Society, the Board, and any Advisory Council
  • Maintain custody of all records and documents of the Society

HEAD COACH

DUTIES OF THE HEAD COACH

  • Develop and present on floor programs and establish team play guidelines.
  • Ensure coaches are aware of upcoming coaching clinics and register accordingly.
  • Hold Coaches meetings.
  • Liaise with the SMLA Board on behalf of coaches.  

EQUIPMENT COORDINATOR

DUTIES OF THE EQUIPMENT COORDINATOR

  • Inventory equipment and maintain ledger
  • Ensure appropriate storage of equipment during winter months
  • Distribute and collect balls and goalie gear pre and post season
  • Coordinate jerseys distribution and monitoring condition of jerseys
