Vacant Board Positions

We are currently in search of volunteers to fill the following vacant position(s): 

FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR

DUTIES OF THE FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR

• Responsible for identifying fundraising opportunities and organizing fundraising events.
• Where required form a fundraising committee and act as a liaison between the SMLA Board and any active SMLA fundraising committee.
• Work with Treasurer to ensure that appropriate application and gaming requirements are met for fundraising activities.
• Take the lead on the Association’s sponsorship program.
• Where required form a sponsorship committee and act as a liaison between the SMLA Board and any active SMLA sponsorship committee.

• Where required form a tournament committee, and act as a liaison between the SMLA board and any active SMLA tournament committee

We are also looking to add these new position(s):

RISK MANAGER

DUTIES OF THE RISK MANAGER

• Ensure that all coaches, managers or other volunteers of the SMLA who occasionally may have to have unsupervised contact with players have a current Criminal Record Check on file;
• Ensure the facilities being used by the SMLA are in good work order, communicates concerns to the appropriate facility management company;
• Ensure all injury reports have been filed to BCLA in a timely fashion.
